How does the slipcover process work? Usually our first contact is via phone or email. I can give a ballpark estimate by asking you a few questions. If you decide to proceed, I require a 50% deposit. At that time you will be placed on the schedule. Where can I purchase fabrics? I have a selection of fabrics available or you can purchase your fabric from any local or on-line source. What is the best slipcover fabric? Cotton is by far the best fabric for slipcovers. A cotton blend is the next best. Are there some fabrics not suitable for slipcovers? Yes, some fabrics make lousy slipcovers. Please check my Customer's Own Materials policy for a list. What form of payment do you accept? I accept cash, check and credit cards via Pay Pal. |
How much does a custom slipcover cost? The cost of a custom slipcover varies depending on the furniture, the chosen fabric and any design details you choose. If you would like a quote; email me at threadneedle@tampabay.rr.com Why do your slipcovers cost more than the ones in the store? Slipcovers from stores/catalogs are mass produced from a generic set of specifications. Your custom slipcover is hand crafted by me specifically to fit your furniture. Tell me more about your hand printed fabrics? My fabrics are hand printed in my studio on a cotton, linen and cotton/linen base cloth. I use non-toxic water based ink for all my fabrics. What can I use your hand printed fabrics for? My hand printed fabrics can be used for most home decor projects, to include slipcovers, pillows, cushions and bedding. Where are your classes/workshops held? My classes are held in my private studio classroom. The classroom can comfortably accommodate 5 students. I don't have a sewing machine. Can I still take a class? Yes you can! I have machines for 5 students and all the tools you will need. |
